Subject: An observation about the list mail headers

Has anyone else noticed that when sending to the general list
addres (framers@frameusers.com) the TO: and CC: headers are
often re-written?
I notice this especially when I reply to a message posted to
both frameusers and alternate list (framers@omsys.com), and
the second address is consistenly missing from the message
relayed by the frameusers list.
Why is this? Isn't a little healthy competition and broader
disemmination of questions and answers a good idea?
