Hi all, it's indexing time again...
I have three basic marker types: call them Subject, Title,
and Index for now. Suppose I want to combine the three
into one index. I want to have all the Author marker text
in Bold format, all the Title marker text in Italic format,
and the index text in "normal" format. I want all of the
page numbers to be in the same format. As an example,
with *xxx* denoting Bold and _xxx_ denoting Italic:
*Author Name*
biography
birth
*Co-author Name*
_Famous Title_
_chapter title_
movie
novel
play
...
_Famous Title_
authors
*Author Name*
*Co-author Name*
_chapter title_
movie
novel
play
<end example>
Is there a way to do this more automatically (i.e., using a
reference page entry?) than the method of using
<CharFormat>index text<Default Para Font>
in each and every entry???
On the reference page, preceding <$pagenum> with <CharFormat>
puts the index entries' page numbers in <CharFormat>. I have
not been able to figure out how to do something similar with the
index entries' text.
Thanks,
