Responding again.

You do have better color and contrast control with CRT technology.
Viewing angle and brightness issues are less of a problem with
LCDs over the last several years. For general graphics work, many
people use LCDs without a problem. For image editing and color
correction, you will get partisans on both sides. Ability to 
work with images on LCDs versus CRTs is really a personal "thing."
