For the Acrobat Distiller printer instance, make sure you set
the option for "Don't send fonts to Distiller." Furthermore,
for both 

General=>Printing Preferences=>Layout=>Advanced      and
Advanced=>Printing Defaults=>Layout=>Advanced

you MUST set the Graphic=>TrueType Font: option to
"Download as Softfont".
