Has anyone else had problems with their production FM7 install? I was running
beta FM7, but recently got my released version. I uninstalled the beta version
(and my FM6). The new FM7 seems to install ok, but when I select the Structured
interface, none of the structured stuff works (the Structure View window will
not appear, the Element pull-down menu is all greyed out -- even on the FM7
structured sample documents.)
When I first open FM7, it tells me that my maker.ini file doesn't match the
version that I'm running. ("The FrameMaker version (7.0b420 specified in
C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker7.0\maker ini does not match the FrameMaker
verions (7.0p492) that you are running.) Soooo, I even tried deleting the
maker.ini file and uninstalling the new FM7, then reinstalling.
I'm on a PC running Win98SE. I didn't have any trouble with the beta version or
any previous release of FM. Do I have a defective CD for the released version?
Thanks for any info. Do I need a new maker.ini file? Anybody have this version
that could email it to me?
Thanks,
Becky
