off topic: software tutorial development tools

Sorry for the double-posted off-topic query, but does
anybody know of (or better, have experience with) any tools
to develop on-screen software tutorials, possibly integrated
with online help, that show animations of screen events,
like menu selections, opening and closing dialog boxes,
typing text etc?
